Not So Well
It seems that the tiredness is probably related to the fact that I'm coming down with something. As usual I'm getting the 'I feel spacy and icky' bit before I get any other symptoms, so next week I will probably feel fine but be coughing and sneezing, that's what normally happens... My glands are up and my head is not functioning at it's usual 75% brainpower. After trying to do some sewing yesterday and messing it up I decided that it was a day for knitting instead!
DH was at the football and when he goes he drops DS off at his Nanna's house so I get the day to myself, so I plonked myself down on the upstairs sofa and proceeded to work on Hike after managing a couple of rows on Kiri. When the brain isn't working it's the best time to sit and try to pick up stitches evenly I've found because it doesn't matter when you have to rip it out and start again or that it takes an age because you're really not all there anyway! I did the front edgings and picked up for the collar which requires 12cms of 2x2 ribbing which I will carry on working on today. She should hopefully be all done bar the zip next week and if I can get a trip to the fabric shop in then hopefully I can find a zip the right colour and finish her off totally.
I did my gauge swatch for Arisaig and it looks really good in the Nightsky colour so I will be going with that. I had to put it away in the end as it was so tempting to cast on and get going with it! I'd like to try and get Hike out of the way first if I can, you almost ready to start Jodi or do I have time?
I also tidied up the drawers with my waiting projects so that I can find stuff and made a list of what I've got waiting. I will update my sidebar at some point as it only has about half the stuff I'm going to knit on it! I stared at the stash for a while as well and matched up some more yarn with a pattern.
I'm onto the ribbing of the Easy V Neck, 5 inches of it are required. Does anyone else have a problem with 3x2 ribbing? I can't seem to get my brain around it at all, I keep going wrong and having to go back and undo it... Hopefully it's the foggy head causing the problem but I have a feeling it probably isn't! :o)
Kiri is definitely getting a 13th repeat, if I had any nerve I'd go for a 14th but I'm a chicken so I won't, I'd hate to run out halfway through the casting off and have to rip back the border and a full repeat of pattern.
So, that's me and my knitting which is about all I've been doing. I did go down my allotment this morning for an hour and did a bit of tidying up and came home with my first ever pumpkin, some courgettes (zucchini) and some runner beans, nothing like free food, makes it so worth the digging and weeding!
