Toe Up Vine Lace Socks

Yarn - 2 skeins of Sock Candy (mine is Lemongrass)
Needles - 2.75mm dpns, set of 5
To fit a UK5 or US7.5 ladies foot
Toe and Foot
Cast on 10 stitches using a figure 8 cast on and 2 needles. Knit the first round.
Next round knit 1, increase 1 stitch using left slanted increase, knit to one stitch from end increase 1 using right slanted increase, knit 1. Repeat on second needle.
Knit 1 round.
Repeat these 2 rows until you have 52 stitches on the needles (move the stitches onto 4 dpns when you need to).
Knit until the sock just touches the front of your leg with a little bit of stretching (ie how you want your sock to fit when you wear it).
Heel

The heel is worked on half the stitches back and forth. I find it's easier to work the heel with the stitches on 2 needles rather than knitting them onto one, but do what works best for you.
Short Rows
Row 1 - knit to 1 stitch before the end, yarn forward, slip final stitch knitwise, turn
Row 2 - yarn forward (thus wrapping the yarn around the slipped stitch), slip stitch purlwise, purl to 1 stitch before the end, slip stitch purlwise keeping yarn in front, turn
Row 3 - yarn forward (wrapping the slipped stitch), slip stitch knitwise, knit until there are 2 stitches before the end, slip next stitch knitwise.
Repeat rows 2 and 3 until there are between 6 stitches left in the middle unworked.
Long Rows
Row 1 - knit to the first wrapped stitch, knit it and it's wrap together, yarn forward, slip next stitch knitwise, turn
Row 2 - yarn forward (creating a second wrap), slip stitch knitwise, purl to the first wrapped stitch, purl it together with it's wrap, slip next stitch purlwise keeping yarn in front, turn
Row 3 - yarn forward wrapping the stitch, slip stitch knitwise, knit to first wrapped stitch and knit it together with it's 2 wraps, yarn forward, slip next stitch knitwise, turn
Repeat rows 2 and 3 until all the stitches and their wraps have been worked.
Now start working around all stitches again.
Cuff

Knit 1 row, if you think that you need to pick up a stitch between the top of foot and heel needles and knit it together on the next row (don't use this sttich as your increase stitch, it looks funky).
On the next row you need to get the right number of stitches for the pattern, so increase 1 stitch on each needle for a total of 56 stitches.
Knit 2 rows straight.
Your start of the round will now be the be in the middle of the heel.
Key:
K = knit
yon = yarn over needle
sl1 = slip stitch knitwise
psso = pass slipped stitch over the stitch you've just knit
k2 tog - knit 2 together
Pattern:
Row 1: K1, *ki, yon, k2, sl1, k1, psso, k2 tog, k2, yon; repeat from * to lat stitch, k1
Row 2: Knit
Row 3: K1, *yon, k2, sl1, k1, psso, k2 tog, k2, yon, k1; repeat from * to last stitch, k1
Row 4: Knit
Repeat these 4 rows until your cuff is as long as you want it to be, finish with Row 4.
Cast off very loosely, use a larger needle (I used a 4.5mm) to ensure that it's not too tight to get over your foot.
Make a second sock to match!
