Row 2 - *P2, K1 YO Sl1 K1 PSSO repeat from * to end
Row 3 - *P2, K3 repeat from * to end
Row 4 - *P2, K2Tog, YO, K1 repeat from * end

Instructions

Cast on 55 stitches and divide between 4 needles.

Start stitch pattern and repeat to desired length, my socks have 17 repeats for the cuff. End with Row 4 of the pattern.

Heel Flap

Work 27 stitches in pattern then Sl1 K1 for the remaining 28 stitches working them onto 1 needle.

Turn work Sl1 then purl the rest of the heel flap stitches.

Repeat following rows 16 times more.

Row 1 *slip 1 knit 1 repeat from * for rest of row
Row 2 slip 1 purl rest of row.

Turn Heel

Row 1 knit 17, ssk k1 turn
Row 2 slip 1 p7 p2tog p1 turn
Row 3 slip 1 k8 ssk k1 turn
Row 4 slip 1 p9 p2tog p1 turn

Continue working rows in this manner increasing 1 stitch each time until all stitches have been worked. You will be left with 18 stitches.

Split the remaining 18 stitches onto 2 needles, the start of the row will now be in the centre of the heel. Knit the first heel needle and then pick up 17 stitches down the side of the heel flap plus 1 from between the flap and the front, pattern across front stitches starting with Row 2 of the pattern, pick up 1 stitch in the gap between the front and the flap and then 17 stitches up the side of the heel flap then knit the final 9 heel stitches.

Note: the top of the foot will now start and end with a P2.

Next row: Knit to last 2 stitches, k2tog, pattern needles 2 and 3 starting with Row 2 of pattern, last needle ssk knit to end
Second row: knit all heel stitches, pattern needles 2 and 3

Work these 2 rows until 14 stitches remain on each of the bottom of the foot needles.

Foot

Work until sock is 2" short of desired length patterning the top of the foot and knitting the bottom.

(Fixation does stretch quite a lot so make sure you stretch it lengthwise on your foot when you try it on for size!)

Toe

Row 1: Needle 1 knit to last 2 stitches k2tog, needle 2 ssk the knit remaining stitches, needle 3 knit to last 2 stitches k2tog, needle 4 ssk knit to end.
Row 2: Knit all stitches

Note: you will need to do one less decrease on the top of the foot than on the bottom, just skip one of the decreases either side of the toe to make the top and bottom stitches an even number.

Repeat these 2 rows until there are 10 stitches left on the top of the foot and 10 left on the bottom.

Kitchner and sew in ends.

Make another sock to match!
